We are one of the most comprehensive studios in London, and we are always open for teachers to come and observe during classes and use the studio for their courses.

Whether you have chosen Kensington or Wembley Park, you will have access to both studios. Both studios have 10 Reformers with all their props, our Wembley Park studio also has 10 Tower Trainers and 10 chairs, whereas our Kensington studio has a cadillac and a stability chair. We know these spaces can get crowded, so we provide as much equipment as possible to avoid people having to share

Qualify in Mat or Reformer, or combine both for broader teaching range, with clear study-hour and certification milestones throughout your training. More courses and workshops will be available over time to further your learning, including Chair, Cadillac and soon, Barrel!

Printed manuals and Merrithew Connect course videos support your preparation, independent study and exam review long after the in-person teaching days.
Choose your pathway
Course fees must be paid in full no later than one month before the course start date.
Build a complete Mat teaching foundation through the Essential, Intermediate and Power repertoire. Learn 63 exercises, purposeful modifications and how to use light equipment to support or intensify movement.
Master the Essential and Intermediate Reformer repertoire through 139 exercises, with programming, modifications and progressions for different bodies, postural needs and teaching settings.
Included in your training

Complete 40 hours of Mat instruction or 50 hours of Reformer instruction with experienced Instructor Trainers guiding your technique, teaching skills and programme design.

Your pathway-specific manuals are posted within the UK one month before the course begins, giving you time to prepare before your in-studio training.

You will receive a unique access code for the required video library to use before and during the course, and later as an exam-preparation reference.

Individual Mat or Reformer exam fees are booked separately. The £3,000 combined-course offer includes both training pathways and one certification exam.

About the course
Prepare to teach broad Mat and Reformer repertoires with thoughtful variations and modifications. Take either course as a focused qualification, or combine both to develop greater range across one-to-one and group programming.
STOTT PILATES® is a contemporary, anatomically informed interpretation of Joseph Pilates' original method. Developed by Moira Merrithew with sports medicine professionals, it brings modern exercise science and rehabilitation principles into a safe, effective and low-impact approach to mobility, strength and whole-body conditioning.

Who it is for
The course is designed for studio and fitness instructors, personal trainers, sports therapists, physiotherapists and dancers who want to broaden their skills and employability. Pilates enthusiasts can also apply when they meet the anatomy and participation requirements.
In-studio students receive the printed manual for their Mat or Reformer pathway by post within the UK one month before training begins, plus a unique code for streaming the relevant course videos through Merrithew Connect.
Before you apply
Complete the online anatomy course at least six weeks before your STOTT PILATES® training. Applicants without previous anatomy study can be accepted when this course is booked, giving them the knowledge needed for the training and exams.
Sold separately. A 10% discount on the online anatomy course is available when booked with a STOTT PILATES® course.

Essential, Intermediate and Power Mat workouts.
Essential and Intermediate Reformer repertoire for stability, strength, mobility, balance and coordination.
How to use Flex-Band®, Fitness Circle® and Arc Barrel variations in Mat programming.
Clear communication and precise observation skills.
Verbal cueing and imagery that improve performance and motivate clients.
The theory and practice of postural analysis.
63 Mat exercises and 139 Reformer exercises, with modifications for different bodies, postural considerations and conditions.

Teacher training
Before you can take the final exam and receive certification, you must complete the in-person course, all logged study hours and the required practical teaching experience.
